Brian N. McDonald: International Paper

TAMFORD, Conn., June 19 — International Paper today announced that Brian N. McDonald has been named vice president, Investor Relations. McDonald will report to Marianne Parrs, chief financial officer and executive vice president, and will be based in the company’s Memphis, Tenn., headquarters.’Brian brings an excellent depth and breadth of knowledge about International Paper and the industry globally,’ Parrs said. ‘I am confident that his leadership and operational background will enable our investors to have a clear, accurate and thorough understanding of the company’s progress as we move through our business transformation and grow our value for shareowners.’

McDonald, 47, joined International Paper in 1987. He has held roles of increasing responsibility in the company’s manufacturing and commercial operations, including as director of the company’s Russian operations and, most recently, as president of IP Asia. He has a B.A. in biology from Brandeis University, a master’s degree in forestry from Duke University, and an M.B.A. from the University of Virginia.
