John Ebner: Alltel

June 20, 2006 — Alltel today announced that Treasurer John Ebner will assume additional duties as senior vice president of treasury and investor relations.

Tony Thomas, currently vice president of investor relations for Alltel, has been named controller of Windstream Communications, the company to be formed through the spin-off of Alltel’s landline business and its merger with VALOR Communications.

Ebner will continue to report to Sharilyn Gasaway, executive vice president and chief financial officer. At Windstream, Thomas will report to Brent Whittington, executive vice president and chief financial officer.

Alltel is a customer-focused communications company with more than 15 million customers in 37 states and nearly $10 billion in annual revenues.
