Mark Pogharian: The Hershey Company
HERSHEY, Pa., July 17, 2006 — The Hershey Company today announced that Mark K. Pogharian has joined the company as Director, Investor Relations, effective July 17th. Pogharian will report to Bryon Klemens, Vice President, Business Development.
“Mark’s leadership will enable us to build on our strong relationships with the investment community,” Klemens said. “His extensive experience in the consumer packaged goods industry as well as in equity research will be of immense value in articulating Hershey’s value-enhancing strategy to investors.”
Pogharian joins Hershey from Deutsche Bank, where he was Vice President, North America Equity Research, covering the food industry. Prior to joining Deutsche Bank in 2005, Pogharian worked at Kraft Foods as Senior Manager, Investor Relations. During more than nine years at Kraft and Nabisco, Pogharian held a number of business development, strategic planning and financial analysis positions. From 1989 to 1995, Pogharian worked at Compaigne de Saint Gobain - Norton Industrial Ceramics in Worcester, Mass. where he held positions as a senior accountant and internal auditor.
Pogharian holds a Bachelor of Arts in accounting from Assumption College in Worcester, Mass. and a Master of Business Administration from Nichols College in Dudley, Mass.
