IR MAGAZINE announced the winners of this year’s Continental Europe Awards at a black-tie event in Zurich last night.
German utility E.ON AG took the grand prix for best overall investor relations in the large-cap category. In the small- or mid-cap category, Netherlands-based semiconducter systems maker ASML Holding NV was the overall winner.
The award for best investor relations officer of a large-cap company went to Oliver Schmidt of German insurance group Allianz SE (NYSE: AZ). In the small- or mid-cap category, ASML’s Franki D’Hoore and Rob van Vliet were voted the best IROs.
The large cap category covers companies included in the top 250 of the FT Global 500, published in June but based on data from March 31, 2006. The small or mid-cap category covers companies outside the top 250.
