Whoopee! It’s raining awards!
By Dominic Jones
I COUNT over 100 companies (see image on the right) receiving recognition for their investor relations websites in the “Interactive Investor Relations” awards for 2006 that were announced yesterday.
So what percentage of those who paid the entry fee actually got an award? That’s not disclosed.

What or who is the Web Marketing Association? Who are the members and how does one join? That doesn’t seem to be fully disclosed either.
Who are the judges? You guess it, not disclosed.
Now isn’t investor relations supposed to be all about disclosure?
Ironic, isn’t it?
But enough said from me, I’d love to hear your thoughts.
If your company is on this list, how do you feel about so many awards being given out?
What did you know about the Web Marketing Association before you signed up? Does it matter?
Do you think all the companies that won awards are deserving? Were the right companies chosen?
You can discuss any of these questions using the comment form below or by sending me a confidential email.
I’m interested to hear your views.

I am keen to have a look at the list! Any chance of a link to that list, or a larger screenshot?
