JUST in time for the weekend, the US Securities and Exchange Commission (SEC) today posted the full text of the proposed rules for mandatory XBRL filings for domestic and foreign public companies.

TECHCRUNCH, a leading technology blog that boasts more than 3 million readers, has accused a company that is currently preparing an IPO of funding its growth by running a scam that gets people to unknowingly bill small recurring payments to their credit cards.

IROs more short-term focused than analysts — Updated
Update: According to IR Magazine, which alludes to this post in a backhanded way, I have this story wrong. They say: “The survey found that the proportion of companies providing quarterly earnings estimates (which NIRI says should not be confused with the frequency with which guidance is offered), are down to 18 percent, from 27 percent in 2007. Longer time frames including annual estimates account for 72 percent, up from 59 percent.”

THE US Securities and Exchange Commission (SEC) is proposing a rule for all companies to file their annual and quarterly reports in eXtensible Business Reporting Language (XBRL) on a staged basis over the next three years.
