1. What does your firm do? What products or services do you provide?

| Thomas Rosenmayr, CEO of Nexxar/GeBer |
Nexxar/GeBer is totally focused on production of online financial reports like Annual and Interim Reports, CSR reports, Fact Books. Our reports offer interactive tools to enhance the usability and compilation of all information offered in reports.
2. In what ways does your firm help companies be more effective in their online communications with stakeholders?
Together with our clients we develop the best technology, usability and features for their online financial reporting. With our proprietary software we are specialized for swift turnovers of 48 hours. This allows our customers to concentrate on their well established production process for the printed reports during that crucial final stage.
Most reports offer huge amounts of information. We take that information and shape a tailor-made, target-group-specific report enhanced by leading and innovative tools. There are no limits for our efforts and inspiration to reach our clients goals. Everything is possible like flash based interactive charting tools, create your bespoken report or integration of individual notes. Web users are looking for the same information through different channels. We make it easy for them to find what they are looking for.
3. What unique problems are you addressing?
Often we face ignorance of companies towards communication patterns of the Internet. Hypertext markup language (HTML) is the basis that offers amazing chances to get involved with your users. The web is multiple interaction.
4. Tell us about a recent project that you are particularly proud of? Why do you think what you did is effective?
For a global player we developed an automated conversion of their SEC documents to usable HTML reports. Our goal was to convince the legal department through a product that guarantees to be 100% identical with the printed report. It’s not the type of high end product that we are known for but it offers some unique values:
- Automation means no proof reading & double checking necessary
- it’s quick, being produced within hours
- and of course it’s much cheaper
The solution is a full-fledged HTML version, that beats widely spread so called ‘dynamic’ image galleries in all respects. This is a good example for our ability to meet extravagant customer needs.
5. What are the biggest challenges your firm faces?
We are dealing with very sensitive data of large-cap companies. Timelines are strict and firm, and most companies publish their reports within the same period. In this environment scaling up capacities is the biggest challenge we face since we have been established.
6. Which other firms similar to yours do you admire or respect and why?
We respect Investis for the amount of top clients they serve. Radley Yeldar is a dynamic innovator for new tools used. I like what zu communication did for Intel and I admire VSA Partners for their ability to combine the story of a printed report with an online equivalent.
7. What differentiates your firm from others in the market?
We are totally focused on what we do: HTML financial reports. No other websites, no printed reports, no compromise. In the last 5 years we brought more than 200 reports online. Specializing in this tiny area of Corporate Communications gives us a head start to provide the best service and know-how.
8. Are there any future plans for your firm that you want to talk about?
We are currently expanding our business to UK, USA and Canada. Changing regulations in the UK has cleared the way for more user-friendly HTML implementations in 2008. More than 58% of FTSE 100 companies published their annual report as a fully-fledged website. With our new brand name Nexxar we want to support quality in this dynamic development.
9. Is there anything you wish we had asked you but didn’t?
We’re a young company in what we think is one of the most beautiful cities of the world. We love our work. We are always open to new ideas and keen on meeting new people. So whenever you are around you are more than welcome.
