A LOT of regular readers have been buried in year-end reporting and preparing annual reports, so I thought I’d recap the most popular posts on IR Web Report over the past two months in case you missed them.
- Business Wire’s Double Standards About how Business Wire is attacking cheap notice-and-access releases even while its owner Berkshire Hathaway uses similar releases.
- My Real-Time Personal Newswire I’m surprised this got so much attention. It’s about how easy it is today to update status messages across multiple social networks. Since writing the piece, my newswire has doubled its distribution.
- NYSE to Change Policy on Websites for Disclosure It looks certain that the big board’s issuers will soon have the same leeway as NASDAQ companies to use their websites, RSS, email and other tools instead of issuing news releases.
- The Credit Crisis in Plain English. Another surprise, this is about a video visualization of the credit crisis by Jonathan Jarvis. Make time to watch it if you haven’t already.
- Why I Finally Joined LinkedIn and Facebook. I now wish I hadn’t. Just kidding, while they can be extra work (Facebook is a discombobulated time sink) I can say that joining these two social networking sites has been beneficial.
If you didn’t get a chance to read these post the first time, I hope you will find time to do so now.
IRWebReport.com was founded by Dominic Jones in February 2001 to promote best practices for online investor relations communications. All articles on IR Web Report are unpaid editorial. If we write about any company with which we have a business relationship, either directly through sponsorship or indirectly through consulting services, we fully disclose the relationship in the article itself. Our standards of disclosure are higher than any other publication or association in the IR industry. We disclose both direct and indirect relationships. Sponsors are identified as such in the right sidebar. Anyone is able to see our sponsorship fees. Without sponsors, we would not be able to continue publishing on a regular schedule. Please support independent content in the IR industry.
