SEC posts text of proposed XBRL rule
JUST in time for the weekend, the US Securities and Exchange Commission (SEC) today posted the full text of the proposed rules for mandatory XBRL filings for domestic and foreign public companies.

WHEN I first saw this on JustSystems’ website earlier in the week, I wondered why they didn’t provide a way for me to grab and embed it on this site. It looked to me like an obvious opportunity for them to get some free publicity.

Update: I think you should ignore this offer. And I think Hitachi did itself a disservice.

SEC delays meeting on XBRL rule - Updated
Updated: SEC spokesman John Nester told Financial Week that “the meeting was postponed because the commission needed time to prepare and approve testimony for tomorrow’s Senate Banking Committee hearing, at which SEC chairman Christopher Cox is scheduled to testify on the role of credit rating agencies in the current liquidity crisis.” Original post follows.

SEC does first conference call with bloggers
