The news that corporate blogs are not a panacea for all [...]

By Dominic Jones on August 12, 2008

EVER since the US Securities and Exchange Commission (SEC) released its new guidance for company websites, corporate lawyers seem to have been struggling to see the very real opportunities it offers their clients.

UNDER certain circumstances, companies can rely on their websites and blogs to meet the public disclosure requirements under Regulation FD, according to new guidance unanimously approved by the US Securities and Exchange Commission today.
The move is significant as it could cut disclosure costs for many companies that today use paid PR wire services to distribute [...]

IN TODAY’S technology-driven disclosure world, every IR department needs a reliable and highly informed web communications partner to help them navigate through the many new and exciting ways that they can connect online with their investors.

The real story behind RSS registration

By Dominic Jones on April 24, 2008

JUST over 70% of the people who participated in this week’s poll guessed correctly when choosing the word I would use to describe the practice of making investors register to access RSS feeds on corporate websites.
This is something I’ve been meaning to write about for the past two years but never got around to. [...]

How to fix e-proxy

By Dominic Jones on April 4, 2008

A WEEK ago, I called the US Securities and Exchange Commission’s (SEC) notice-and-access process for delivering annual meeting materials on the web “one gigantic flop from an investor protection perspective.”
I think it’s worth beating that drum a little louder in light of the latest statistics from Broadridge Financial Solutions showing a sharp drop in retail [...]
