HERE's another example
of designing online IR disclosures for the people who
produce them rather than for the people who actually
have to use them.
Instead of hand-coding financial tables
in HTML, our research of online annual reports shows
that many companies and their web developers are taking
a worrying shortcut by converting financial information
into images like jpegs and giffs. This is like taking
a photograph of your financial statements on paper and
then posting the snapshots on the web.
