10 Common Mistakes Revisited

THE most popular item on IR Web Report over the past two years is an article first published in February 2001 called 10 Common Mistakes on IR Websites.

At the time, the NASDAQ was 1,000 points north of where it is today. And Enron, well, it had just been named the "Most Innovative Company in America" by Fortune for the sixth straight year.

A literal Tsunami has passed under the bridge since then, and so I thought it would be a good time to revisit the list of mistakes. The objective of doing so is to see what mistakes are still prevalent today, which ones are no longer issues, and what new blunders deserve a place on the top 10 list.

Here then is the New 10 Common Mistakes list. The number in brackets after each mistake is its former position on the list. This gives you an indication of which mistakes are less serious and which are more prominent.
