links to boost your site's traffic and profile
PAGE titles can tell you a lot about
the technical quality of a website and the discipline
of the people who developed it. That's because page
titles are part of a site's meta-content - information
that is integral to the proper functioning of a web
document but which users don't notice until they need
it.

They
make your site easier to find in search
engines and bookmarks.

Because most corporate clients don't know about them,
many web developers take shortcuts by scrimping on developing
proper page titles and other meta content. There's something
for the developers to gain from ignoring them since
plugging in meta content can be tedious and time-consuming.
This has consequences for your site. Page titles are
used by search engines to find your pages on the web,
and they provide the title for your site in a user's
bookmarks. In essence, no page titles or badly written
ones make your site harder to find on the Net.
If attracting traffic to your site is important, you
need to pay attention to page titles.
