Tell them how many pages it is.
It is even friendlier to also state in brackets after
a PDF download link how many printed pages the document
contains. For one thing, people are much more familiar
with pages as a unit of measure than they are
with kilobytes or megabytes. They'll expect a document
with more pages to take longer to download. Of course, since pages can hold varying degrees of information,
this is not necessarily the case, so it is important
to provide the file size as well.
