Common Mistakes on IR Websites Revisited
IR WEB REPORT's Global Benchmarks survey reveals a number of interesting
findings and highlights both the best and worst
of online investor relations communications around
the world.
| |
Benchmarking reveals
country, sector trends and key best practices
of leading companies.
|
The survey also expands upon and confirms findings
in recent independent surveys showing that while
corporate websites are essential sources of company
information for investors and other stakeholders,
most users are turned off by what they find.
Measured against the IR Web Report Global Benchmarks
algorithm, the average large-cap company's investor
relations website fails to achieve a passing grade.
This is significant because large-cap companies
are more likely to achieve best practice standards
than smaller companies with fewer resources. In
total, the average large-cap IR website scored
less than 35 points out of a possible 100,
well short of the 50 points we consider a passing
grade for best practice.
