Presented by Dominic Jones at the National Investor
Relations Institute Annual Conference in Orlando,
Florida on June 10, 2003.
In this presentation, I discuss six important practices for improving
the credibility of companies' communications with
investors on the Internet.
These tactics build corporate credibility by expanding
investor understanding of the risks and opportunities
inherent in companies' businesses and providing better
information and proof of companies' commitment to
honest and transparent business practices.
There is no magic to these recommendations. However,
they do require companies to be willing to communicate
openly and to be judged publicly for both their words
and deeds. In that sense, these are things that any
company can do.
The difficult part is having the will
to do them.
